¶ Dry Oven
The dry oven is used to dehydrate medium sized objects like wood or multiple rolls of acrylic. It can also be used in colder environments to accelerate the curing of resin and paint.
¶ Operating instructions
- Position the dry oven where it has space to vent hot air: Hot air cycled out the metal pipe on the back of the machine under the fan.
- Turn on the dry oven: Use the large power switch underneath the control panel to turn on the machine.
The oven will begin heating immediately.
- The temperature probe reading will be displayed on the top row in RED.
- The temperature setpoint will be displayed on the bottom row in GREEN.
- Set the desired temperature and run time: Use the setpoint instructions below if you need to alter the amount of time the oven runs for or how hot it gets.
- Wait for the heating cycle to complete: The oven will heat to the temperature setpoint and hold for the set time. After the set time has elapsed, the oven will display the stop message
srop(sic) and cool. - Reset the machine: Press and hold reset + left at the same time to disengage stop message:

Observe the control panel:

Press the reset button once to adjust temperature setpoint:
- The letters
spwill be displayed on the top row in RED. - The temperature setpoint will be displayed on the bottom row in GREEN.
- Use the left, up, and down buttons to select a digit and adjust the setpoint:

- Press the reset button a second time to adjust the set time.

srwill be displayed on the top row in RED. - The set time in minutes will be displayed on the bottom row in GREEN.
- Use the left, up, and down buttons, as before, to adjust the setpoint.
- Press the reset button a third time to return to the initial display mode.
¶ Misc
- The last degree of heating is slow: The oven heats quickly until it gets to ~one degree of the setpoint. This final degree may take several minutes to complete. Be aware if precision timing is an issue.
- The temperature probe may be inaccurate: The dry oven temperature probe may be off by up to 3 degrees (based on comparison with a multimeter probe). Be aware if precision temperatures are an issue.
- Avoid button mashing: The controller also has a “lock” mode which has been seen after button mashing. Try to avoid button mashing.
