There are many past contributors who have dropped out of attendance, because their lives are currently too busy to participate in the Artifactory community (or, indeed, any community group.)
Each year, we'd like to recognise a few of these people as Friends of the Artifactory. This status would let them attend social events (without paying the non-member event pricing), so they can stay connected to our community.
This aligns with our mission to '...prevent or relieve social isolation' by encouraging people to remain connected to our community, even if they don't currently have the capacity to participate as regular members.
Being a Friend of the Artifactory confers the following benefits:
Being a Friend of the Artifactory does not confer any other benefit of membership.
Friends of the Artifactory must:
Friends of the Artifactory can be appointed in one of two ways.
Appointments expire on the day of the next annual general meeting after the appointment is made.
Appointments can also be terminated by the committee if the person acts against the interests of the association.
